SE Harris Tree Services Ltd is a family run business that was established by Sam Harris in 2003. With nearly 2 decades of tree surgery experience we have built up an excellent reputation, indeed many of our customers have been with us since inception.

This impressive range of experience allows us to provide a comprehensive quality service carried out to an extremely high standard. The work we undertake encompasses a broad range of clients, both private and commercial and we can cover all sizes of job from small back gardens to large country estates. We take great pride in what we do and our attention to detail is second to none. We will always leave your home or business in immaculate condition.

Our team is highly qualified and all aspects of our business conforms to British Standard BS3998 for tree work. The team is comprehensively covered by 5 million public indemnity insurance and 10 million employers liability.

We operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day offering an emergency service for unsafe, fallen or storm damaged trees utilising an array of specialist equipment where required.

Sam had his first chainsaw at the age of 14 and his love of tree work stemmed from there. He undertook the National Diploma of Arboriculture in 1998. Since then he has gone on to complete awards and courses in all aspects of tree surgery and maintains an updated portfolio of all mandatory and enhanced training.

Sam started his career at Fountain Forestry, where he worked first as a tree surgeon, then later as Team Lead, gaining valuable experience. By 2003, S E Harris Tree Services was formed and since then Sam has been working hard to establish the company as one of the most respected tree surgery businesses in the local area.

Sam and his wife Caroline moved to Mendip View Farm in 2014 in order to expand the business and ensure its future. The property had previously been owned by generations of Harris’s and they are thrilled to have been able to bring it back into family ownership.

Caroline has worked alongside Sam since 2010 whilst also continuing her career in healthcare. In January 2016 she joined the family business on a full time basis. This has enabled her to better manage her work commitments alongside jointly caring for their 3 children.

She holds all the relevant qualifications to enable her to undertake tree work and high rope work. Naturally, her healthcare background is also beneficial to the business.
